What does a Sun Valley Jazz & Music Festival volunteer do?
Traditionally volunteers have filled the following positions:
⦁ Pre-festival Office Workers provide administrative support before the festival (A limited number of hours will be available)
⦁ Airport Drivers pick up musicians at Boise Airport and transport to Sun Valley
⦁ Shift Captains oversee the music venues with their team of Volunteers, greet guests and thank our Sponsors
⦁ Venue Color Team Volunteers oversee the music venues, greet guests and thank our Sponsors
⦁ Sales and Will Call Volunteers sell badges and tickets
⦁ Volunteer Room / Communications Office Attendants. This year we will be combining the Volunteer Room and the Communications Office. Attendants will be busy answering the phone, taking messages, recording venue counts as they are called in, stocking snacks and making coffee for our Volunteers and Jazz Festival staff as they pass through on their way to and from their assignments. Duties also include keeping the room neat and tidy at all times and standing by to fill volunteer assignments, as needed, if someone can't make it.
How much time during the Jazz & Music Festival does a volunteer work?
Volunteers who work a minimum of 12 hours are qualified to receive a 5-day General Admission pass to the Festival. Paying patrons are welcome to volunteer for as little as one shift. Volunteers earning an admission pass will get scheduling priority over paying patrons or employee badges.

Do I have to apply each year?
Yes, with today’s active lifestyles, people move and change phone numbers, email and addresses. The application ensures we get your updated contact information, confirm your intentions to participate this year, and capture your first and second choices for the upcoming festival. We build our volunteer database from your applications each year.

Greetings! My name is Jodi Bradley. I hold the title of Executive Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator for the Jazz Festival.
Didn't we have a BLAST last year? Are you ready to do it again? Me neither but that's what the months between now and then are for. Haha. Remember to fill out your Volunteer Application!
A bit about me. I have 2 teenage daughters that are the joy of my life. I love spending as much time as possible with them. I also love hiking, reading and connecting with new and old friends.
